Minimum selling price calculator for marketplace sellers
Enter your costs and fees to see the lowest price you can sell at and still hit your target margin. Use it as the floor for any repricer.
Last updated 26 October 2026. This is an estimate for planning. Check fees in your own marketplace account.
How it is worked out
The floor price P (including VAT) is the lowest price where, after VAT, the marketplace fee, returns allowance, product cost and postage, you still keep your target margin. Net price = P / (1 + VAT). Fee and returns are taken as a share of P. So P = (cost + postage) / ((1 - margin) / (1 + VAT) - fee - returns). If the percentages leave no room, the calculator tells you the product cannot reach that margin.
MarketplaceHQ 365 does this per SKU and per channel automatically, using real landed cost and your uploaded courier prices, and uses it as the hard floor for repricing.
Straight answers
What fee should I enter?
Use the total percentage fee on the selling price for your category, including any referral and payment fees. Check your marketplace account.
Why does VAT matter?
Marketplace prices include VAT but your margin is on the ex-VAT amount, so a floor set on the VAT-inclusive price can look safe and still lose money.
